Saudi Arabia is also a party to the Trademark Law and Patent Law of the Gulf Cooperation Council (“GCC”). The GCC comprises Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s adoption of these laws permits protection of patents and trademarks across the GCC area.
