Reina Hashash

Reina joined Z&Co. in August 2024, having come from a strong private practice and in-house background.
Reina specialises in all aspects of corporate and commercial contracts and advisory, including market entry and localisation, commercial and operational contracts and negotiations, real estate and construction, procurement, competition risk management, intellectual property, data privacy and cybersecurity and ESG regulation.

A solicitor qualified in England and Wales, Reina spent 5 years at Linklaters LLP (where she began her career) in London and Dubai. Reina served as Senior Legal Counsel at Nestlé Nespresso S.A. in Switzerland, managing all legal support for the commercial, operational and product development functions. Reina also served as General Counsel of a regional construction and contracting group based in KSA, where she was esteemed for her achievements in commercial negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. Most recently, Reina returned to private practice as Legal Director at Clyde & Co. LLP based in Riyadh and Dubai, where she was commended by her major commercial clients for her support on complex commercial transactions. Clients have referred to Reina as “integral” to the successful completion of their projects

  • Advising an international consultancy on data protection and data transfer restrictions regulations in the KSA, including the Personal Data Protection Law (“PDPL”), PDPL Implementing Regulations, the PDPL Personal Data Transfer Regulations, Essential Cybersecurity Controls, Data Cybersecurity Controls, and the Cloud Computing Services Provisioning Regulations.
  • Advising an American luxury jewelry brand on compliance with KSA data protection laws in respect of the collection, transfer and processing of customer data and drafting privacy policies for end-users
  • Advising a German industrial engineering and steel production conglomerate on KSA data transfer restrictions
  • Advising a KSA entity on the KSA regulatory landscape in respect of data hosting, data storage, cross-border data transfers, and the KSA cybersecurity regulatory framework
  • Advising NEOM on day-to-day governance, real estate, leasing and construction contracts and matters related to several mega/giga projects in the KSA;
  • Advising a KSA entity on the applicable permits, licences and approvals regulatory framework in respect of two mega-developments from procurement, construction to operations.
  • Advising on the licenses and permits required for a sewage treatment plant in the KSA throughout the entirety of the project lifecycle (from procurement, construction to operations)
  • Advising a major pharmaceutical company on its commercial agreements and compliance with KSA law
  • *Major family businesses in the retail and construction sector in the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, on confidential matters relating to family and corporate governance, international expansion, asset and operational risk management, and legal structuring
  • *Saudi Global Ports and PSA International on the establishment of an integrated logistics park in King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, including the execution of a lease for over 1 million square metres of land dedicated to the development of the logistics park
  • *Technogym S.p.A on the expansion and commercialisation of their presence in KSA, including advising on cloud computing, technology and data protection
  • *International clients operating in the logistics, transport, healthcare and media sectors in relation to the set up and operation of their Regional Head Quarters in the KSA, as well as on confidential procurement projects and commercial contracts
  • *Aluminium Manufacturers Co. Ltd on construction subcontracts for stations and depots in lines 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 in the new Riyadh Metro project
  • *On a confidential multi-billion dollar leveraged bank/bond bid-financing for the acquisition of a major international financial services conglomerate, including a post-acquisition major corporate restructuring
  • *Nestlé S.A. and Nestlé Nespresso S.A. on multi-million-dollar market entry, business operations, intellectual property and R&D projects, including in relation to (i) procurement of direct and indirect materials for the approx. CHF700 million expansion projects in Avenches and Romont factories; (ii) multi-million Euro technology implementation projects and intellectual property acquisitions and divestments; and (iii) sustainability initiatives, marketing and procurement strategies, including in relation to Nestrade global.
